So being in on the 'inside' you tend to hear the latest things going on. For those of you who have Facebook, there's a new hack out there. Someone can hack into your acct. and talk to others as you via the live chat. This just so happened to one of our dispatchers' husbands. The person was talking to an acquaintance of theirs via his face book page saying he was stranded and needed her to wire him some money. Of course she called him and spoke directly with him then proceeded to tell the other person posing as him off. When he disconnected, it wiped the entire chat i guess.

Then, the next day, a lady comes into the PD saying someone has hacked her Facebook acct and wanted to make a report. Lovely!! Anyways, long story short, for all you Facebook peeps out there, if you find yourself talking to a friend who is trapped in a foreign country begging for money, most likely their acct has been hacked.
